At a Sitting of the Native Land Court held at Otaki on the 29th day of October 1879.
Present – Judge Young Pomari Kingi W. Grey – Clerk E. Willcocks – Interpreter
Court opened at 2 pm – Cause list read.
Tamihana Te Hoia applied to have all claims relating to Porotawhaoa taken to Foxton. Several persons being absent at Maungatautari and he wished them to be present. They are also interested in Ngakaroro No. 3 and No. 2F also asked that the court be adjourned until November.
Court refused adjournment to November.
Petihira Te Kingi applied to have Himatangi adjourned to Foxton in consequence of the majority of the people residing near Foxton and I hand in an application for adjournment.
Court granted the application but could not fix a date for the hearing.
A number of applications were made for the adjournment of several claims – successions and others to be adjourned to Palmerston.
Court stated that they must supply lists of claims – they wished adjourned in the morning.
Court adjourned until Thursday the 30th.
