Court opened at 10 am.
Present – Judge Heaphy T. Hapimana E. T. Willcocks
Manawatu Kukutauaki No. 7D – Subdivision
Court announced that overlapping boundaries had been adjusted by survey the area was now – a10,487 – r0 – p0.
Tamihana Te Hoia asked who would pay him for survey.
Court suggested it be paid pro rata by those to whom was awarded.
Surrender of title signed by all present.
Hapi Rangitewhata submitted his plan for subdivision. Kahukura taken by consent.

I am representative of Ngati Huia.
The piece 516 ¼ acres (A. B. C. D on plan R) shows the land of Ngati Tuwhakaheua. It is called Makaira.
The piece called Mangorowhiti is, by consent, Hutana’s but not to the south of A. G. My principal claim is within the letters H. I. J. K. L. M. G. A. B.
The letters N. O. P. Q indicate another claim of mine called Kahukura. The bush from H. I. X to V. Z belongs to Ngati Huia and Ngati Tuwhakaheua. Hakaraia represents them. Kiriona for Ngati Te Manea. Each have subdivisions. I also claim from J to the bush. Kiriona is my friend.
Kereona Whamaro
My claim is in the swamp from R. to S. It is called Kopuapangopango. It goes east to the bush. Ngati Huia worked there and claim it – not any special hapu – to the west of R. S. is Ngati Manea land from the gate of Porotawhao to the westward to K belongs to Ngati Manea. P. U to V. G. W belongs to Wireti Ruinui.
Tatana
The piece east of I belongs to Ngati Manea from I to J is Ngati Tewhakaheua, Te Manea and Ngati Huia. My land is on the south side of this near the swamp.
Tamihana Te Hoia
Kahukura is mine without dispute. I receive rent for it.

There is no dispute from the sea to X: X: on the plan. We want a day or two for necessary measurements to determine certain boundaries without which we cannot proceed.
Claim adjourned until 21st.
Court adjourned to Palmerston.
