Description

Oxford Street, Levin, c.1910. Taken from the upper floor of the Arcadia Hotel on the northestern corner of the Oxford Street and Bath Street, this photograph shows the early businesses of Levin. Looking North it shows Oxford Street as a wide unsealed street, but there are footpaths outside the shops, and the plane trees planted in 1897 appear to be very young.
