Manawatu Kukutauaki No. 4
Henare Te Herekau handed in list of names of persons interested in the Ngati Whakatere lands. Paper read, boundaries described and then applied for a tribal certificate.
Horowhenua
Meiha Keepa applied for a tribal certificate for the block.
Ohau
Manahi Paora put in a list of names seen describing boundaries of land for which he applied for a tribal certificate in favor of Ngati Tukorehe, Ngati Te Rangi and Ngati Wehiwehi.
Pukehou
Eru Tahitangata put in a list of names and describing boundaries of lands for which he asked for a tribal certificate in favor of 4 tribes – Ngati Teau, Te Whiritaura, Ngati Kapu, and Te Mateawa.
Ihaia Whakamairu made application to have his claim to Tararua heard tomorrow.
Koputoroa
Ihakara Takamairu made application (read) for a tribal certificate for this land and handed in a list of names and a description of the boundaries.
Tuwhakatupua
Henare Herekau applied that the claim of two hapu’s interested in Tuwhakatupua may be heard – Ngati Ngakau and Ngati Te Hau.
Ngarara
Tamihana Te Rauparaha said my claim for this land conflicts with Tamehana Te Neke’s for the land – describing boundaries.
Moroa
Huru Te Hiaro applied to have this claim investigated. It is a Native Reserve. It has been surveyed. It is on the East Coast.
Court adjourned until 10 am tomorrow.
