Lower Aorangi No. 2 – 10 acres at Aorangi

Hoani Meihana asked for a certificate for 10 acres near Aorangi. It has not been surveyed.

Court directs him to confer with surveyor and make another application before rising of court.

Henare Te Herekau said – I wish to make application for certificate instead of out in this matter and handed in a tracing showing the maps etc of the several pieces referred to.

Taipua – put in application with list of names and boundaries for a certificate for land within Manawatu Kukutauaki.

Takapu o Kaingarara

Wanu – put in application with list of names and boundaries of a block in Manawatu Kukutauaki for which he asked for a certificate of title.

Manawatu Kukutauaki

Te Paea – put in 2 applications with lists of names and boundaries of 2 blocks for which he asked for 2 certificates of title.

Kararaina Whawha did the same (in two instances).

Mr. Cash said on behalf of Muaupoko I desire to make application for a adjournment until 2 pm to enable the list of names in this matter to be completed.

Mr. Cash made application for a certificate in this matter. One name that of Meiha Kupa to be in the certificate. List of names of persons interested handed in and read.

Further requested that the grant be made without restrictions and that the estate rest for today

Ordered that the certificate of the title of the Keepa Te Rangihiwinui to Te Horowhenua Block be made and issued without restrictions to the parties and that the names of the following persons be registered in the grant under the 17th section of Act 1867

Tamihana Te Rauparaha made protest against the issue certificate in favor of Muaupoko as the Ngati Raukawa mean to apply for a rehearing.

The court informed him that his application for rehearing must be made to the government and that the certificate will be issued so ordered.

Tamihana Rauparaha said that the investigation of the land on the other side of Otaki be heard at that place.

Kupa objected.

Upper Aorangi – a13 – r2 – p0

Kooro Te One - applied for a part of the piece of land in the tracing before the court. All the people are willing that this certificate should be issued in my name. There will be no confusion or disturbance afterward.

Court decided to order this issue of a certificate in Te Kooro’s name.

Ordered that a certificate of the title of Kooro Te One be made and issued when a proper survey thereof is furnished - No restrictions - Legal Estate to rest from the 10th April 1873
