Snow at ‘Lakeside’, the residence of Hector Hugh McDonald, on what is now Moutere Road. The young woman is Flora McDonald eldest daughter of Hector Hugh and the dog is “Jock”. This photograph is taken looking north and the Te Maai ridge is in the background.
