Swainson & Bevan Ltd building, south west corner of Mako Mako Road and Oxford Street at Weraroa before 1910. The two storied wooden building has a coloured iron verandah supported by wooden poles. The shop opens onto the corner of the intersection and a gas lamp is suspended from the verandah above the entrance. The road outside the building is unsealed. On the seventh and eight windows from the left on the upper floor, the words “public” and “library” are inscribed.
