Written on back with black ballpoint pen: “P25 Ladies’ Boat Race, Horowhenua Lake Regatta, 1908. Mrs H. Ambler, Mrs W. Clark, Mr Arthur Smart,cox. Note jetty and boat house with grandstand on top capable of holding 200 spectators.

Ladies’ Boat Race, Horowhenua Lake Regatta, 1908. The group in the boat closest to the camera are Mrs H Ambler and Mrs Maud Clark (rowing) and Mr Arthur Smart (cox). The grandstand on top of the boathouse was capable of holding 200 spectators.
