Oxford Street in 1918 or 1920, looking north from just south of the Oxford Street / Bath Street intersection. The Carnegie Free Public Library which was built in 1909 is the building to the far left of the photograph.
The road is unsealed and the plane trees are growing alongside both sides of the road. Telegraph poles are on both sides of the street and double gas lamps are at each intersection.
