An application was made to have the court adjourned for ½ hour. Some people having only just arrived.
Succession claims
Claim of Erueta Te Rangiotu in 25 acres and other pieces.
The 25 acres is half of a piece of 50 acres granted to 10 names under Rangitikei M. Crown Grants Act.
Mr. McDonald believes inalienable. An understanding was come to between the parties that half should go to the sellers and half to non sellers.
Hoani Meihana says the government
The grantees of the 25 acres – Te Kooro and Hoeta
The other 25 to Tapa and his party – Takana, Te Ara, Te Karehana, Hepe
Before it can be told what the interest is of Te Kooro. The divisions and the conditions to which it is subject ---- to be determined and carried out by deed.

It was explained to the claimant that it would be necessary for all the parties to consent.

I live at Ngawhakaraua and belong to Rangitane.
I am cousin to claimant. I knew Tutere Tiweta. He died on 8th March 1878. I saw him dead. He left some paper on his death bed with Pop Teete. It was to the effect that his children and his wife should succeed. The names are Karaitiana Tiweta, Te Hemara Tiweta (9 years), Tarita Tiweta his wife.
