Court opened at 10 am.

Tapa Te Whata – sworn

I belong to Ngati Kauwhata and live at Awahuri.

I know this land Aorangi. I claim it with others of my tribe.

Major Kemp and Kawana Hunia at this stage applied for a tracing of the blocks in order to mark out where their cultivations were situated and wished for two days adjournment.

The judge gave one day and adjourned accordingly.
