The “new” Manawatu Hotel, Foxton. A E Shadboldt was the proprieter at the time this photograph was taken. A horse, bicycles and a horse-drawn carriage are the featured means of transportation in this photograph. Four women stand on the upper floor balcony and a number of men stand on the footpath outside the two storied weatherboard building.
