Mrs Lett and women from bowling club

Mrs Lett and six unidentified women, five of whom are dressed for bowling. Mrs Lett is in the centre of the photograph and is dressed in a dress and coat with a scarf about her neck. She has a floral spry attached to her left shoulder and is wearing a dark hat. To the far left of the photograph, an unidentified woman is wearing a dark suit and hat, and also has a floral spray attached to her shoulder. Of the five unidentified women dressed for bowling, four are wearing brimmed bowling hats.

Four Unidentified Women with Bowling Trophy

Four unidentified women dressed in bowling uniforms with wide brimmed hats around a bowling trophy in the centre of the photograph with four bowls and a jack in the centre front.The women’s hats have a ribbon and crest with the letters HLBC above the brim. The tropy is a silver cup with handles and small engraved medals around the base. Beneath the trophy is a card which states: “Levin Bowling Trophy C & C Challenge Cup for Rinks Competition. Won by Horowhenua Ladies Bowling Club.”
