Two unidentified young women both dressed in velvet, sit together in this photograph. The girl on the left has an intricate lace collar on her dress and is wearing stockings to her knees. On her left wrist she has a heavy gold braclet. The girl on the right has a plain dark collar on her dress with small areas of embroidery on it. Her hair is tied bach with a dark ribbon and she is wearing long woollen stockings. She has a braclet on her left wrist and is holding a book in both hands. Both young ladies have their hair down.
