Later that evening at the Levin Regent Theatre, officials of the Levin Aero Club will present Air Commodore Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith to the audience during the performance of “Emma”. He did not appear. Rumour says he went to P.N. ‘woman hunting’.

Harveys Joinery Ltd leased a large block of the land down the nothern end of what is now called Regent Lane, extending from approximately the northern boundary of Regent Court (which replaced Regent Theatre) to almost where the lane sweeps to the west (now occupied by Farmers). 2 end sections were leased to Williams Bakery (tearooms on Oxford Street) and Fred Pink (shoe shop on Oxford Street).
