A print of photograph 1977.011.0016, showing a bullock wagon transporting logs south along The Avenue towards Levin, probably before 1900. The untouched native bush lines both sides of the road.

Used in book – “From Bush to Borough – Levin Golden Jubilee Celebrations, 1906-1956” – page 18, with caption: Dick and Frank Russell’s bullock team, November 1, 1901.
