Penciled on back: “Donated Chronicle 1977 . Copy, out of ‘My 1st Eighty Years’, Helen Wilson entitled ‘Bushwhackers’. Probably the whare of her future husband C.K. Wilson, 1888.”

Written with black ballpoint pen on piece of paper attached to back: “Titled “Bushwhackers” from Helen Wilson’s book “My First Eighty Years”. Probably the whare of her future husband. ‘

A photograph entitled “Bushwackers” shows a whare made from ponga with two men outside the building and a third man sitting on a horse. Taken c 1888 this is probably the whare of C K Wilson the future husband of Helen Wilson who wrote the book “My First Eighty Years”, a history of the Levin district.”
