Written on back of one of the copies with black ballpoint pen: “Copied from a publication onto 1/2 Plate Film. This is a contact print. By Mr P. Sinclair SHN Tennis Court on Agfa paper. 8-7-83 Vance St.”
Also written on the back of this copy with black ink pen: “N.D. Clayton.”
Written on back of the other 2 copies with purple felt-tip pen: “Shannon Tennis Courts about 1908 Where the small Bowling Green is today 1983. Mr Oglivy — A.H. Richards. M.H. Schmidt Mr Box Miss May Dunckley, Flo Dunckley & Miss Compton.”

Information in book – “From Bush & Swamp”, page 152 states - The Shannon Tennis Club was formed in 1908, when a group of people leased some bowling club land, and laid two grass courts. {Outgrown by 1923 so section in Vance Street purchased for Tennis Club}
