Inscriptions on reverse read: “Dear Aunt Will and I had this photo taken in London, on my leave. I just received them last night. I think it is a splendid photo of Will. ?He does not think so but I do. Laurence” and “Laurence Clark (sitting) and brother Bill”.

Laurence is sitting on a wooden seat made from tree branches and has a stick in his left hand. He is wearing putties on his legs.
