Inscriptions on reverse read: ” Not bad but a bit far away” and “Bought by Mrs M H Short 1936 “Holiday House” 1940 ex Women’s Institute Rest Home after Willard Home.”

Holiday House and Motor Cabins of the Short family at Foxton Beach in 1940. This large wooden house with an iron roof was bought by Mrs M H Short in 1936. It was formerly the Womens Institute Rest Home and prior to that the Willard Home.
