This aerial photograph looking from the south, dates from the early 1950’s and shows the original five-acre block. In the foreground there are two sheds, the one on the left was the office and implement shed, the other one on the right housed fertiliser and drums. The large shed housed the tractor and rotary hoes and behind the shed is the manager’s house. The manager at this time was Jim Dobson. Crops included blackcurrents, brambles, strawberry runner beds, and annual crops such as tomatoes.
