An unidentified family group beside a river. Four girls are standing and sitting in the branches of a small tree. The woman sitting on the left, holding toddler on her lap, is believed to be Mrs T. Brown (nee Newton). The woman standing at the right of the group is believed to be Mrs James Hallam.

Shannon's first Postmaster Mr Harrison and Family

Written on back with blue ballpoint pen: “Postmaster Harrison & family.”

Shannon’s first Postmaster, Mr Octavius Harrison his wife and two sons, Louis and Maurice (seated on pony). Mr Harrison is wearing a suit and bowler hat. Mrs Harrison is wearing a white blouse, a dark skirt and a hat with a large feather. The group is pictured amongst toi toi with cabbage trees in the background.
