Town and Country Quilters held their third Rhapsody in Fabric Exhibition in Thompson House August 11th to 13th 2006.
Members of Rose City Quilters, Town and Country Quilters and the Rangitikei Country Quilters made blocks for a stunning raffle quilt, titled ‘Take Time to Smell the Roses’. Diane Southey opened the 2006 exhibition Rhapsody in fabric for the Town and Country Quilters, held at Thompson House.
Paula Shailer made this glorious quilt which won the Viewers Choice award in the 2006 Rhapsody in Fabric exhibition, of the Town and Country Quilters.
Lesley Marshall won the novice award in the 2006 Challenge.
The Town and Country Quilters annual exhibition for 2007, 'Quiltfest Levin', was held at the Events Centre, Levin Show Grounds on Saturday 11th August.
Art in the Park was held on the 14th of February 2010 in the beautiful grounds next to Thompson House. Organised by the Horowhenua Art Society, the annual event showcased the work of local artists, along with one or two from out of the district.
Doreen has been quilting for about 12 years after taking a Community Education programme at Horowhenua College.
Heather has been quilting for 20 years and regularly teaches quilting at beginning level.
