Doreen had been looking for an interest to occupy mind and time after retirement and health problems, and saw a Community Education class at Horowhenua College for Patchwork and Quilting. She had always enjoyed sewing, did not know anything about the past-time but gave it a try.
Doreen is inspired by many things: the creative process, books, magazines, other people’s work, nature, an occasion, imagination, fabrics – to name a few. The expertise and help of workshop tutors, classes and the tutor at the Community Education classes (Chris Ronchi) have been invaluable.
She finds the stimulation, satisfaction and socialising very worth-while and regret not learning this craft in my younger years.Related Items
