Seabury Avenue reconstruction at Foxton Beach. Man (unidentified) shovelling sandy soil where new footpath is going. New road gutter partly in place. Road has been lowered some 3 feet.

‘Cheslyn Rise’, the Adkin family home Queen Street East, Levin,1901. The two storied house was completed in 1899 and is two years old in this photograph. A horse and gig is at the front of the house, and family members stand on both the upper and lower verandahs.
