Two large wooden poles joined together at top in ‘A’ shape with cross members for wires being raised by hand. 3 men (right) each with a long pole push the top of the power pole into upright position while other men (centre) near its base use short posts to prop it up as it rises. Tom Sunley believed to be one of the workers (centre).
Large farm house in background (right).
