Description

Main Street, Foxton from Ihakara Gardens c.1920. Compared with the previous photograph this view shows that the pine trees have been removed. The picket fence is still in place, but in a state of disrepair. Several schoolboys stand in front of the War Memorial. The Court House, Police Station, two churches and an expanding commercial area are clearly shown.
