Description

(1) I met Mr. Hudson here yesterday, he is keeping very well but is full up of this sort of life. He has no stripes at all now, he is just a private. He has not been up this way very long. We are getting some pretty good weather here lately, the mud is drying up and the weather is much warmer. I received that cap you sent me, it was very good of the old lady to be so kind, you must thank her for me.
