- Description
-
This is a popular resort for visitors to Levin, a real up-to-date, well-conducted tea, light refreshment, and luncheon room. The business occupies a suite of rooms upstairs, entrance to which is gained from the main street of the town, near Broome's store. The Misses M'Kegg's premises are well patronised not only by local residents but by motorists and others passing through Levin. The luncheon and tea room is thoroughly in keeping with the high-class character of the cuisine. Visitors cannot help being agreeably surprised at the neat and attractive appearance of the whole establishment, and the bill of fare would put to shame many so-called high-class hotels. For morning and afternoon teas the Taieri Rooms are just the place.
