Two unidentified men at the working face of Tunnel No.4, Mangahao, early 1920’s

Used in book – “From Bush & Swamp”, page 107 with caption: Two of the tunnellers at work on the No. 1 tunnel, which was constructed between the Mangahao and Tokomaru Rivers about one mile apart.

Any use of this image must be accompanied by the credit “Horowhenua Historical Society Inc.”
