Report from the Evening Post of 18 July 1911:

'As a result of a recent visit paid by the Minister of Railways, the general manager, and Mr. W. H. Field, M.P., it has been decided to erecr a ladies' waitingroom and to effect other improvements at the Tokomaru railway station.'
