The oval photo used in book – “From Bush & Swamp”, page 51, with caption: This View of Plimmer Terrace from the railway station was taken in the early twentieth century. The premises of Dunckley and Company and W.H. Gunning Limited are still standing, but most of the shops north of Gunning’s have disappeared, mainly the victims of fire.

Any use of this image must be accompanied by the credit “Horowhenua Historical Society Inc.”
