Description

Laminated black and white photocopy.

Series of three photo from unamed newspaper of demolition of Foxton Post Office in January 1987. Work by Faser Contractors of Himatangi.

Caption: The old Foxton Post Office is coming down but the memories Foxton folk have of the building will remain. Fraser Contractors of Himatangi started demolishing the old Foxton Post Office yesterday. The 75-year-old building is coming down to make way for a new post office which will be built on the same site. At this stage tenders for the construction of the new post office have not been released. The new building will have an old-fashioned facade in keeping with the historic character of Main Street.

Two black and white photocopies.
