Used in book – “Uncommon Carrier”, page 87, with caption - Manakau early 1900s. Scheduled train crossings began here after 1901. Enough land had been cleared to support a dairy factory (on the left). On the right is Quayle’s butchery. The goods brake and Addington car on the mixed train are of interest as few photographs exist of either. (From the A.C. Bellamy Collection)
