Parade float decorated for H.E.P.B. Golden Jubilee, 1956 1 B&W photo print, mounted
4 women (unidentified) are seated on the float holding ribbons (symbolizing cables) from the mock large open-wheel generator in front of them. The ribbons lead up to words on the sign behind them - LIGHTING HEATING COOKING POWER Words written with flowers ? along the side of the float - Electricity – Your Servant.
There are several people on both sides of the street watching the parade. Also appear to be a couple (top centre) standing on the roof of a house. The photo does not appear to have been taken in Oxford St. or Queen St.
