History
The Medieval Market was started by a group of Manakau locals to raise money for the local primary school. The market was initially held in the school grounds, but as the popularity of the market grew it spilled out into neighbouring properties and roadways, before a reluctant move to Levin. This move has allowed the market to continue growing in success and popularity each year. 18,000 visitors attended the 2007 market.
