Oposite her siting on the rim of the waka is an unidentified European man wearing a short sleeved shirt and long trousers. In front of him, sitting in the bottom of the waka, is an unidentified European woman, wearing a print dress which has white facings and cuffs at the edge of the short sleeves. Her hair is pinned up on top of her head, she is holding sunglasses in her right hand and a straw hat with a large brim in her left hand.
