Flora & Gypsy, 1911 Show

Inscription on front reads:- “Flora & Gypsy Show 1911.”

Flora MacDonald seated in a gig and driving a horse (Gypsy). Flora is dressed in a dark jacket with a white blouse or cravat underneath, and a bowler hat. The lower portion of her clothing is not visible. The horse is facing away from the camera and is heavily harnessed and is wearing blinkers.

Inscription on the front reads: “Flora & Gypsy Show 1911.”

Witten on back with blue ballpoint pen: “donated by”.

Penciled but erased: “Miss D. Brewster”.

Procession of horses, riders & “traps” at the Levin Show, held at the Levin Racecourse, ?pre 1921. Mounted horses are preceeded by horses and traps. To the right is a series of hurdles. To the left the grandstand has a glass paned wall on the eastern side and a New Zealand Ensign is flying from the flagpole atop the stand.
