A small two masted ship, with a stack indicating steam as an alternative source of power, is sailing downstream from the Port of Foxton in this photograph taken from the northern bank of the Manawatu River. In the background to the right is the Foxton water tower. A second water tower (at Woolpack and Textiles) is on the left. This section of the Manawatu River is now known as “The Loop”.
