A large group of adults stand behind the pupils of Koputaroa School, possibly at a school picnic 1910. All the women and girls and many of the men are wearing hats and they sit and stand inlong grass under several tall trees.

The lady teacher, who is wearing a full length dress with sandals, stands at the far right of the photograph. Most of the girls in this photograph are wearing pinafores.

Koputaroa School group, 1900 outside school building. To the right is the schoolmaster, and the schoolmistresses (two) are standing at the rear on the left. There are 52 students in the photograph and those in the front row are sittilg on a stoney playground.
