String cutter Twine box

The printing on the base of this string tin suggests that originally it carried an advertisement for Hudson’s soap. It was used about 1906 in a Petone grocery shop owned by Mr Stutter.

1 green painted twine box, with string cutter. Distributed to retailers as a promotional item by Hudsons Soap, Liverpool, England. Has “November 1906” scratched on the bottom of the tin in a large script.
