Miss Phillips is wearing a dress of striped material with a high collar which is fastened at the throat with a bar brooch and a dark ribbon.. The yolk of the dress is pintucked and there is ribbon-threaded lace across a frill and down the centre-front of the dress. The sleeves of the dress are high-set. Miss Phillips has her hair pinned up.

Maud Annie Phillips married Walter Mace CLARK and had their homestead in Salisbury Street Levin. The home no longer exists but the Presbretarian Home services retirement villiage is on the site.
