Tippler’s decorated horse-drawn wagon for Queen Carnival, early 1900’s. In this photograph a wagon owned by Reg Tippler is driven by Bert Tremewan who standing on the wagon shafts holding reins of the pair of horses. Six women are standing in the wagon, and a dog is sitting under the wagon. Painted on the side of wagon is : ” R.L. Tippler Shannon”

This photograph was used in the book – “From Bush & Swamp”, page 138, with the caption: “R.L. Tippler’s horse and dray were pressed into service in one of the many Queen Carnivals to be held in Shannon. This one would have been early in the twentieth century.”
