Silver tea service

This set was given by Mrs Woodroofe to the Foxton Football Club probably in the early 1920s when Mr G. Woodroofe was a land agent in Foxton. It was won by Mrs T. East nee Crowe and was given to the museum by her sister Mrs Tidey.

One silver tea service: tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug.

Silver fork

This fork belonged to Amos Burr, early Settler in Foxton. He lost both his arms in a canon misfiring accident aboard the “Cuba” in Wellington harbour on 22nd January 1840.

One silver fork with a modified handle, in a cardboard box. Used by Amos Burr – who had no hands.
