In another room in Thompson House was a stunning array of embroidery.

Delightful embroided bears enjoy a sunny spot.

This white fabric camel has a a gorgeous fur blanket and sleeping rug. Her greenlinen skirt is edged with pink braid, and lots of sparkly baubles

Art in the Park was held on the 14th of February 2010 in the beautiful grounds next to Thompson House. Organised by the Horowhenua Art Society, the annual event showcased the work of local artists, along with one or two from out of the district.

The Horowhenua Embroiderers Guild was established in Levin, on the 15th April 1989.
