“Denaby” the home of Herbert Denton, situated at Denton Road, Levin in 1906. This photograph shows the house in photograph 2000.487.0001 and the land surrounding it which was the property of Mr Denton. The padocks around the house show signs of revcent tree-felling. In the background are the foothills of the Tararua Ranges.

"Denaby" land & house, Denton Road

“Denaby” the home of Herbert Denton, situated at Denton Road, Levin in 1976. This photo is taken from a similar position as photograph 2000.488.0001, but seventy years after that photo. The padocks surrounding the house are now pasture and the foothills of the Tararua Range have been planted in Radiata Pine.

“Denaby” the residence of Herbert Denton, located in Denton Road, Levin, in 1918. The weatherboard house has an iron roof, two brick chimneys and a verandah supported by wooden posts, on two sides of the house. The windows are of the sash type.
