Group on Rural Road

Letter written with black ballpoint pen: “Dear Margaret [?] & Alex, These are the only photos I could find. The smaller one is of Alfred Cockayne, Dad & ? The larger one, 2nd on left I think could be Bruce Levy. Man with bowler either Sir Chas. Fergusson or Sir George Fowlds (maybe). Alfred Cockayne is 4th from left I think. Maybe the committee at Wairoa [?] will be more successful at identifying these men. They are welcome to keep these photos if they wish. Lots of love, Annette & Bruce.”

Also written on the letter with blue ballpoint pen: “27/5/89 Note – These identifications were NOT substantiated by Mr A.H. Cockayne’s two daughters, Madeline and Lindsay. D.J. Dennis.”
