Table Cover – embroidered flower designs, 1946

At the Manakau WDFF monthly meeting on Thursday June 27th, 1946, president Mrs Bennett suggested that each member embroider a small square, which would be sewn together to form a table cover.

Table cover created contains 30 squares of linen, each with a small flower embroidered at its centre. The squares have been stitched together (5×6), then stitched to a larger blue cloth as backing and border.
