Place – the same Present – the same

Hoani Meihana said

After considering the judgment given by the court yesterday we desire that our lawyer Mr. Cash make an application on our behalf.

Mr. Buskley

On behalf of Ngatiraukawa wished to discover the nature of the application.

Mr. Cash said

The application he wished to make on behalf of his clients was for the court to grant a short adjournment to enable them to consult with their friends who were absent. The object being, to prevent future confusion.

Mr. Buskly said

The question was one of whether the consideration of the other cases were a continuation of the previous case or otherwise. If the first then his client desired time.

Mr. Cash said

His clients wished the court to adjourn until Monday next.

Mr. Busklye said

That in the absence of his clients, he wished that the court would adjourn until tomorrow when his friends would be present and Mr. Cash could then state whether the people he represents would require further time.

Court adjourned until tomorrow at 10 am.
