The caption reads:

'The 1923 Model T Ford, which Major Ward called Lizzie was a familiar sight in the streets of Levin carrying its owner on her visits to the old and needy. In 1958 she sold it to Mr John Harvey (shown) who lovingly ared for it in the years since.
